A total of £47,500 has been presented on behalf of the Freemasons Grand Charity by the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro David Macey and Provincial Charity Steward, W Bro John Hayward.

The donation will go to the NSPCC, supporting services for children and families, which work to reduce the risk of abuse and neglect locally and throughout the UK.

The Provincial Grand Master said: "I am delighted to present this cheque to the NSPCC. The Warwickshire Freemasons are passionate about supporting the NSPCC and its work with local children and young people. Together we can make a difference to the lives of vulnerable local children and we recognise that the NSPCC cannot do this alone. I'm delighted to say that Warwickshire Freemasons will continue to support the NSPCC in any way we can."

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children campaigns to offer children protection, and greatly appreciate this bestowed fund.

Barbara Elsey, NSPCC community fundraising manager, said, "I'd like to thank Warwickshire Freemasons and the Freemasons Grand Charity for their incredible support and generosity. The donation will have a huge impact on our services to children and young people, helping us to continue to fight for every childhood."

Since 1981, The Freemasons Grand Charity has donated more than £120 million to supporting others in need.

Grants totalling nearly £8 million are handed out each year to areas of medical research, support for children and vulnerable people, youth opportunities, hospice services, air ambulances and disaster relief.

Dear Brethren,

Sandra and I wish you all a very Happy Christmas with your friends and families.

We ask you to remember those within our communities that are less fortunate than ourselves and strive to ensure that they, too, can enjoy this festive period.

Thank you all so much for the support and encouragement that you give to me, and to the Provincial Team, when we visit your Lodges.

With best wishes to you all for the forthcoming year and the hope that you will continue to enjoy your Freemasonry.

Yours sincerely and fraternally,

Announcment of M FEST 300 - save the date!

                 Announcement of M Fest 300

A Celebration Event for the Tercentenary of Freemasonry

Announcement of M Fest 300 - A Celebration of the Tercentenary
of Freemasonry on 24th June, 2017 the United Grand Lodge of
England will be 300 years old.

In addition to the London celebrations, many events around the country will mark this very
special anniversary.

The four Provinces which form Group 3 – Shropshire, Staffordshire,
Warwickshire and Worcestershire – are combining forces to celebrate
Grand Lodge’s 300th birthday with “MFest 300” A Family Fun Weekend at Weston Park on 24th & 25th June, 2017.

The extensive grounds of Weston Park are ours for the weekend, and
entertainments and catering will be laid on for all ages to enjoy. There is
plenty of room for caravans, campers and picnics with music, rides,
displays and fun activities for all ages throughout the weekend.

Saturday will feature a dramatic re-enactment of the Battle of the
Alamo, and the Picnic in the Park theme will also include an Evening
Concert and Fireworks Extravaganza.

This is sure to be an enjoyable and memorable weekend for all Masons, their families and friends. Tickets
go on sale early next Spring – make sure these dates are firmly in your diary!

The Ladies Gift Fund will be holding the annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday 14th November 2015, at Linden House, Wolverhampton. Every Lodge will have received tickets direct from the LGF, and are urged to either purchase the tickets and/or send a donation to the LGF Treasurer – details above. Attendance last year was lower than anticipated, so please encourage Lodge members to attend the Fayre.

Tickets have been delivered to all Masonic centres for collection.

As in previous years, Warwickshire will be operating the Bottle Tombola, and to that end I shall be most grateful for donations of any form of bottle – it does not have to be alcoholic, in fact the more variety the better.

Please either bring bottles on the day, or let me have them via the Provincial Office at the Yenton Assembly Rooms. As a last resort, I am even prepared to pick up bottles from your local centre if you are unable to deliver them.

Many thanks in anticipation

John Hayward
